Notes: "Delivered into factory stock in November 1906, this had a plain pistol grip butt with a rubber buttplate, and a distinctive ribbed band at the tip of the forend. Fancy Sporting Rifles were offered with selected woodwork and special finishes, and an optional 10-round magazine appeared in October 1911. A police-style butt and forend were approved for the standard rifle in December 1937, but work ceased when war began in December 1941. A projection was added to the cocking rod in mid-summer 1948, when the magazine-release button was enlarged, and the last guns were sold from store in 1957." - Walter
