U.S. RIFLE M1 .30
Manufactured by Springfield Armory, Springfield, Ma. - Modified to full-automatic. According to Army card inverted stock was made by Remington. Pistol grip. Shoulder rest attached to buttplate.

Markings:
Receiver: U.S. RIFLE/CAL..30 M1/SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY.
Bolt: D282-87-12SA/W ? A.
Stock: S.A./G.A.W. in square. Ordnance insignia. GAW = George A. Woody.

Weapon transferred to the Museum on 31 January 1951.
